Arches National Park Micro-Wedding
September 2020
So many thoughts come to mind when I think back to my time with Chelsea & Louis, but I’ll start with the obvious; you know 2020 was a doozy, and Covid19 threatened to make things very difficult right up until the day before their ceremony. Chelsea took everything in stride and it all worked out perfectly in the end. She shared, “Our entire wedding vibe changed overall, but it feels like how it was always meant to be. It was intimate and special without any of the overwhelming stuff. Planning was really tough on such short notice, but the vendors were so helpful!”
Chelsea and Louis had a wedding all planned out on September 12, 2020, in Long Island, New York and had to change plans less than a month before the wedding. Luckily, they were able to obtain a permit for a ceremony in Arches National Park for September 13, 2020, so a micro-wedding with just a few friends and family members was the new plan.
After our initial meeting, Chelsea and I clicked! She shared a few ideas she had to make the wedding special and I was completely on board. She had their grandparents and Louie’s best friend write letters for me to read since they were not able to attend. The letters were sent directly to me, so the loving words were a surprise for the couple on their wedding day.
They had a traditional, yet fully-customized wedding ceremony, where I shared a bit of their love story and things that they looked forward to in the future. There were laughs and a lot of tears, and so much joy! There were so many things I loved about this wedding; the last-minute change of location in Arches (yes, I love spontaneity), the incredible backdrop that was even more beautiful with the florals, the groom’s tears when I read the letter from his best friend, the family vibe and chatting with the guests, and the love and commitment that I could feel as Chelsea and Louie read their wedding vows.
An Intimate Wedding

Introducing Dallin & Cienna - Photo & Florals
The day before the ceremony, the original photographer and videographer were exposed to Covid and had to cancel. I don’t know about you, but I would have completely stressed out! Her florist, Cienna had the perfect referral, her husband Dallin, who is a very talented elopement and wedding photographer.
Chelsea said, “Luckily Dallin and Chris came through seamlessly to help capture our day.”
