Gwyneth and Cody loved the idea of adding something symbolic to their wedding ceremony, so I suggested a handfasting; they also hoped to incorporate some element of their Christian faith into the ceremony, so we found a bible verse that resonated with them, and that too was part of the handfasting ritual. Finally, they chose the specific phrasing for the declaration of intent that I often weave into a handfasting ritual, making their wedding ceremony absolutely unique to the two of them.

They wanted a single cord, that was natural feeling that had some green woven into it; Gwyn knew what she wanted but didn't see anything that spoke to her online, fortunate for Gwyn, Jenn also makes handfasting cords as part of her spiritual and officiant services.
